Copyright is the legal right to protect one’s published or even unpublished work, this could include: books, musical piece, or even some sort of artistic piece. alternatively stated, copyright is the right to copy. Why is copyright important? Copyright is extremely critical for upcoming artist, it helps the artist protect the piece they created. There a few types of copyright particularly for musicians:
Public performance right, public performance license, reproduction right, mechanical license, synchronization license, and digital performance right in sound recording.
