Arpeggios

Arpeggios are a stunning melodic system which you will run over all the time in loads of various styles. The music hypothesis term arpeggio (or broken chord) basically depicts when the notes of a chord are played in a steady progression as opposed to in the meantime.

Arpeggios are astonishing as they add rhythm to an accompaniment, they also allow instruments that can only play one note at a time (monophonic instruments. e.g. trombone) to play a chord.
