Why should individuals learn proper music theory? It's simple, music theory is important. It examines the elements that construct a music piece. Such as key signatures, time signatures, & chord progression. Learning music theory generally helps the listeners appreciate the music much more. Another benefit is music theory helps creativity, it enables the individual to create an excellent proper musical piece, it also allows the individual to expand their knowledge on their own without the help of a teacher. Learning music theory also helps the individual detect common mistakes made. Lastly music theory helps you sight read well.
